The Swanson Institute for Technical Excellence (SITE) at the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering serves as the encompassing structure for the Swanson Center for Micro and Nano Systems (SCMNS), the Swanson Center for Product Innovation (SCPI), and the RFID Center of Excellence.

The Center offers opportunities for industry partners to work with the faculty in developing intellectual property. This center represents the school's focus on applied research in the areas of micro and nano systems.
