Admissions Graduate Recommendations

All departments require at least two letters of recommendation. A form is provided for your use and can be downloaded. Individuals qualified to evaluate your capacity for graduate work should write the letters. At least one letter should be from a faculty member at the last school attended as a full-time student. Preferably, these would be academic references in your major field. If this is not possible, we recommend students approach those persons who can comment specifically on qualifications relevant to the pursuit of advanced degrees.

Ask letter writers to sign across the sealed envelope in which they enclose the letter for mailing.
