Alumni Directing Your Gift

Over the years, the generosity of our alumni and friends has helped the Swanson School of Engineering become a leader in educational and research innovation. Support from our donors has made it possible for the school to provide our students with the best quality education. As we continue to strive to become one of the nation's top schools of engineering, your support helps to further advance our progress.

Our donors have made gifts in a variety of ways:

  • Professorships and chairs allow the school to attract and retain outstanding educators and researchers as faculty.
  • Fellowships help us attract outstanding students pursuing graduate work.
  • Scholarships and student resource funds allow us to provide merit scholarships to attract outstanding students and afford them a wonderful educational opportunity.
  • Classroom or laboratory maintenance or founding gives our students access to the best facilities available, further advancing their ability to learn the skills they need for industry or graduate study.
  • Hands-on learning experiences like the Co-operative Learning Program, Study Abroad Program, Formula SAE Car student team, or Panther Electrical Vehicle Club, among others, ensure that our students are provided with practical knowledge that will help them as they enter industry or pursue graduate studies.
  • Research funding enables the school to expand research concepts, pursue new projects and ideas, and develop new products.
  • Unrestricted operating funds provide the school with support as we meet new challenges.

There are a number of other options and opportunities that exist within the Swanson School of Engineering. For more information on how you can make a gift, please contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 412-624-2458
