Welcome to Bioengineering
Harvey Borovetz, Chair. As we prepare to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, many exciting things are happening in our department, more than could possibly fit on this one webpage. Just for samplers, three NIH T32 predoctoral training grants have been awareded to our faculty, Michael Sacks’, “Biomechanics in Regenerative Medicine.” Sanjeev Shroff’s “Cardiovascular Bioengineering,” and Alan Russell's "Cellular Approaches to Tissue Engineering and Regeneration." The research by our growing faculty spans a broad range across 6 tracks for more than 150 graduate students, and 3 concentrations within which each of our 140 undergradutes participates in a research internship and senior design project.
