This course has been designed for graduate students who are especially interested in pursuing careers in pharmacy, pharmaceutical R & D (both process and commercialization), bioorganic chemistry and medicinal chemistry of natural products (Phytomedicines: pharmacognosy and phytochemistry). This course is not designed to give an exhaustive (and exhausting!) list of facts but rather to outline fundamental principles and molecular concepts to address the real health care issues of the society. This course will provide an overview of fundamentals of drug development, drug design, pharmacological and bioanalytical technologies and an insight about the bioorganic and medicinal chemistry.
