The social aspects of disability are covered, in an introduction to the various state and federal (U.S. and Canada) mandates, to consumer advocacy efforts, and to rehabilitation systems adopted by other countries. The extent and financial impact of disability are covered, along with an introduction to outcome measurement methods to estimate benefits of assistive technology.
