BIOE 2724 - Assistive Technology Funding

Description: The purpose of this course is for students to develop knowledge and skill in the process and strategies necessary to fund and acquire Assistive Technology devices and services for people with disabilities. Course content will focus on funding sources, legislation, clinical assessment, documentation procedures, and strategies for preparing letters of necessity. Examples of systems change activities will also be reviewed and discussed. Advocacy and procedures for due process will also be reviewed for situations when funding sources are limited.
