Welcome to Bioengineering

Harvey Borovetz, Chair.

Bioengineering celebrated our 10 year anniversary October 19 and 20th, 2007. Many more exciting things are happening in our department, more than could possibly fit on this one webpage. Just for samplers, three NIH T32 predoctoral training grants have been awarded to our faculty, Michael Sacks', "Biomechanics in Regenerative Medicine." Sanjeev Shroff's "Cardiovascular Bioengineering," and Alan Russell's "Cellular Approaches to Tissue Engineering and Regeneration." The research by our growing faculty spans a broad range across 6 tracks for more than 150 graduate students, and 3 concentrations within which each of our 155 undergraduates participates in a research internship and senior design project. It's all so much more than can fit here... so please please browse the site to find out more, or look through our newsletter.
