Help Us Celebrate 10 Years as a Department!

As part of our plans this fall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Department of Bioengineering, we are attempting to establish the Bioengineering 10th Anniversary Engineering Legacy Fund. These funds are simply unrestricted endowments which donors can either designate for school-wide needs as determined by the dean, or they can designate them for a specific department, in which case the chair uses the income to meet changing needs in their department. Faculty and Staff Support

Over the past month, we have asked faculty and staff to support the Bioengineering 10th Anniversary Engineering Legacy Fund with a gift of any size and have been amazed at the response. More than two dozen bioengineering professors and administrative staff have responded, and the total raised is now approaching $5,000. Legacy funds require a minimum of at least $10,000, so we are nearly halfway towards our goal.

More than 60 Legacy Funds have been established for the Swanson School of Engineering or one of the departments, with the exception of the Department of Bioengineering. We plan to announce the final amount raised towards this first Legacy Fund for our department during the anniversary celebration on October 19.

Support Us
