Undergraduate Spring RegistrationThe following information is intended to aid students in registering for the Spring Term (2104). Questions? Please contact the undergraduate administrator located in 648 BENDM, at undrmems@pitt.edu or (412) 624-9780. Online self-enrollment for the spring term begins on October 22, 2009. Students are assigned a specific date on which they are eligible to begin registering. Students will have online access to add classes, drop classes, and edit class enrollments. Registration in SeminarSpring Term registration will take place during seminar at 11:00am in room G23 PUBHL on October 20. Please come prepared with the courses you want to take. Registration information and materials are available below (see registration tools). Advisors will be on hand to answer scheduling questions. All students in attendance at Seminar will have their Advisement Hold Removed, see "Advisement Holds" below. Registration for those who do not attend seminarIf you're unable to attend the registration seminar because of a conflict, you may submit your signed (by both you and your advisor) Academic Advisement Record Form to Shannon Kelley (648 Benedum Hall) to have your Academic Advisement Hold removed. Registration information and materials are available below (see registration tools). registration for those Currently on a Co-op rotationIf you're unable to get the signature of your advisor in person, you may contact Dr. Slaughter to be advised and have your advisement hold removed. Contact him with any questions you have regarding registration and/or your Spring term schedule. This will serve as your advisement, allowing the hold to be removed on your account, you will then be able to proceed with self-enrollment. ADVISEMENT HOLDSAll students will need to meet with an advisor prior to registering on their scheduled registration date. The advisor will then sign off on the Academic Advisement Record Form that the student and advisor have met. The form will need to be turned into 648 Benedum. Only then will the Academic Advisor Hold be removed from a student's record. AccounT HoldsDo you have a hold on your account which would prevent you from registering? You can check to see if you have any holds through Student Services on my.pitt.edu. Follow the pathway: Link to Student Center > Self Service > Campus Personal Information > Holds. Permission numbersWhen registering, students may find there are conflicts with courses that the system will not allow them to register for. These conflicts are: Class Limit (the course you are registering for is already full), Class Permission (the course requires instructor/dept. consent) and/or Requisites (the course has prerequisites and/or corequisites that have not been met). If you encounter these conflicts you will need to fill out the Special Permission Request Form, have it signed by Dr. Slaughter and turn it into 648 Benedum to receive a permission number in order to register for that course. If a conflict arises with your courses when registering, please continue to register for as many courses as you are able. Time ConflictsIf a time conflict arises with your courses when registering, please continue to register for as many courses as you are able. The time conflict override will need to be removed manually by the Undergraduate Administrator in 648 Benedum. Please stop into the office to have this conflict resolved. Registration DatesRegistration begins on October 22, 2009. Please check your my.pitt.edu for your specific registration eligibility time. On December 11, Spring term registration ends for continuing students. After this date a $25 late registration fee will be assessed. On January 6, Spring Term registration ends for all students.
