News Dave Wohlfarth (BSPet ’68)Stays ConnectedDavid Wohlfarth’s advice to young alumni: “Take interest in your career and motivate yourself. Plan your own path and don’t rely on your company.”
When Wohlfarth is not working, you may find him cheering on Pitt’s sports teams or encouraging his two daughters through their college years. He looks back at his Pitt days fondly, where he was also a varsity letterman in wrestling. “Despite being a big school, there was a small school atmosphere,” he said. Wohlfarth’s petroleum engineering class was very small and he enjoyed the camaraderie with his fellow students, as well as their professors. He stays connected as a member of the Visiting Committee for the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and is also involved with the New Jersey Pitt Club, where he stays connected through Pittnics to welcome incoming freshmen to Pitt life, and various other Pitt events. |
