Daedalus Excel, a product development company, collaborates with the Swanson Institute for Technical Excellence on product innovation. Tim Cunningham, vice president of Daedalus Excel, said he considers the Swanson Institute a right-hand provider for product development.

"Speed is critical to product development," Tim said, and the Swanson Institute understands this need and communicates the possibilities for improving schedules. Currently the Swanson Institute is providing prototype machined parts to Daedalus Excel for a new ultrasound diagnostic system.
