Directed by Dr. Jeffrey S. Vipperman, the Sound, Systems, and Structures Laboratory specializes in the design, fabrication, and analysis of smart structural systems at the micro and macro scale. Specific capabilities include the production of piezoelectric, electrostrictive, and other active devices, total system integration, control system development, real-time signal processing, construction and testing of microfluidic devices, and vibration and acoustic measurements and analysis.
